If thou survive my well-contented day,
When that churl Death my bones with dust shall cover
And shalt by fortune once more re-survey
These poor rude lines of thy deceased lover,
Compare them with the bett’ring of the time,
And though they be outstripp’d by every pen,
Reserve them for my love, not for their rhyme,
Exceeded by the height of happier men.
O! then vouchsafe me but this loving thought:
‘Had my friend’s Muse grown with this growing age,
A dearer birth than this his love had brought,
To march in ranks of better equipage:
    But since he died and poets better prove,
    Theirs for their style I’ll read, his for his love’.

Your sunshine supervised my happiness
	But a villain moon came between us
		My bones grew cold
			Crackled and splintered


	You would do well
		To ponder the future
He does not revolve around you

	But me
		Facing you always
It was I
	Who saw you as my center

We had solved the two-body problem
But the lines of gravitation
	Were false
	Falling into unknown wells

The energy needed
	For the betterment of Time
		Or to outrun it
Would take all
	Of Mankind's Joy
To carve out a Universe
	Good for Lovers

If my friend the Muse
Could give birth
	To an age
	To a Love
		More dear
			Than the one that betrayed me
		Better equipped
			To play together
			To deal with death
A poet would be born
	Whose style could again speak of Love
		With Love
